Herman Miller's Embody Chair Among Buildings' Top 100 Products and Services

June 23, 2009

The Embody chair from Herman Miller, Inc., has been selected by Buildings magazine as one of its "Top 100 Products and Services" for 2009. The list appears in the publication's June issue, which highlights a list of 100 solutions to help commercial building owners and facility managers attain optimal building performance and best practice objectives.

Thousands of products were reviewed by Buildings' editorial staff and the Top 100 were selected according to aesthetics, ease of use, durability, efficiency, sustainability, and universal appeal.

The Embody chair, designed by internationally renowned designers Jeff Weber and the late Bill Stumpf, restores balance to the human/computer relationship by supporting both the mind and the body. It is unique for its Pixelated Support, a system that delivers health-positive benefits and a heightened level of comfort, and its dynamic seat and back surface, which contours to the user's shape and encourages movement.

It was introduced in October 2008 at Orgatech in Cologne, Germany, and carries a list price that begins at $1495, which includes a 12-year warranty.
